At Petersen Precision, we owe our success to the efficiency of the operations and organizational processes.
To help maintain and grow this standard, we're seeking an experienced operations professional to oversee daily activities.
The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven success in managing multiple departments for maximum productivity.
This person will be highly skilled in human resources, production planning, IT management, and have some technical background in manufacturing processes utilized in metal parts production.

*Responsibilities*
* Maintain constant communication with customers, managers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the company
* Lead, motivate, and support the purchasing, shipping and customer service team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment.
* Work closely with production department managers on all aspects of production execution, scheduling, technical problem solving, resource planning and priorities.
* Develop and oversee production control processes for raw material and shop floor production to track and meet changing customer requirements.
* Manage ongoing customer service activities including pricing and delivery requests.
* Support quote activity with primary input for new or existing products.
* Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems protocols within the operational processes.
* Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company's internal capacity and productivity.
* Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget
* Track staffing requirements, direct the hiring new employees as needed
* Include career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution.
* Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.
* Work closely with facilities and safety departments to ensure that activities remain compliant.
* Oversee raw materials and inventory, assuring accuracy of inventory.
*Required skills and qualifications*
* Two or more years of proven success in an operations management/director role
* Excellent ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of planning and customer service
* Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes
* Knowledge of business ERP software for managing production planning, work order processing and material planning.
* Significant experience in human resource practices and employment law.
*Preferred skills and qualifications*
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in operations management, engineering, business administration, or related field
* Working knowledge of ERP systems for small/medium size business.
* Good IT skills to manage outside MSPs to meet all IT needs of the business.
* Multiple years of cost accounting and account reporting experience related to manufacturing.
*Work environment*
* Primarily an office environment with light physical activity.
* A mix of manufacturing shop floor interactions with production staff and occasional machine or part inspection and office environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.
00 - $150,000.
