*Job Summary:*
The Facility Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing general building and equipment maintenance, as well as adhering to the preventive maintenance schedule for machinery.
*Responsibilities:*
* Schedule and oversee assigned contractors, ensuring work is performed safely, with quality, and cleanliness.
* Escort contractors in critical areas when necessary.
* Conduct building repairs including drywall, paint, ceiling tile, flooring, doors, and hardware.
* Perform plumbing repairs including faucets, sinks, toilets, drains, valves, and pumps.
* Complete exterior repairs such as irrigation, signs, fences, roofs, and metal siding.
* Address electrical repairs including lamp replacements, switches, receptacles, wiring, and circuit installations.
* Conduct daily inspections of facilities and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation, completing maintenance checklists as required.
* Follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
*Language / Communication Skills:*
* Proficient in reading and writing English to complete necessary forms.
* Effective communication with supervisors and coworkers.
* Spanish language skills are a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
