Full-Time, Salary Position Company Info Delta Star provides power solutions for utilities across North America.
This includes manufacturing medium-power transformers, mobile transformers, mobile electrical substations, trailers, and unitized substations.
We offer power transformers for utility applications including power and distribution, transmission voltages, system ties, automatic voltage regulations, and industrial applications.
Delta Star also provides comprehensive engineering, testing, maintenance services, and parts for any transformer manufacturer through our Field Service business unit, ensuring our customer's transformers and mobiles maintain peak performance.
Purpose The Test Supervisor will be responsible for providing leadership and technical support to our Test Team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our product testing.
You will work closely with various departments, including Manufacturing, Contracts, Control, and Design Engineering, to ensure that testing methodologies and practices meet industry standards and customer requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and extensive knowledge of transformer testing procedures and industry standards.
Main Responsibilities Provide day-to-day direction to the Test Team organization on procedures, planning, scheduling, cleanliness, safety, preventative and predictive maintenance.
Ensure the quality of testing, assuring product reliability.
Supervise and provide technical support for product testing-related activities across different departments.
Responsibilities & Duties Plan and schedule Quality, Routine, Type, and Special testing for medium and large power transformers, including Autotransformers, Mobile Substations with Switchgear, and Skid Transformers.
Ensure compliance with IEEE C57.

Oversee troubleshooting efforts during final and in-process testing to identify and resolve failures.
Collaborate with Test Manager to schedule training sessions for testing technicians and engineers to maintain high testing standards.
Verify all test data in consultation with Quality, Engineering, and customers before releasing units for shipment.
Set up group workload and perform daily testing of transformers/mobile substations in the high-voltage laboratory when necessary.
Facilitate effective communication between the Test and other departments to align with the production schedule.
Assist with Test documentation and participate in test schedule meetings as required.
Education & Experience B.
S.
in Electrical Engineering with 5 years experience (electrical preferred) Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on transformer testing.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Advanced knowledge of transformer testing procedures, industry standards, and best practices.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using testing equipment specific to the transformer industry.
