As a Senior Construction Manager, you’ll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design-build project delivery.
We’re looking for a passionate Construction Professional to join our Clean Water Program construction management team in San Mateo, CA who is driven by collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status quo.
By developing and delivering on project scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules, you’ll help our teams achieve our client’s objectives.
Your keen ability to multi-task, communicate effectively and tackle project challenges will allow you to thrive in our fast-paced environment.
The San Mateo team is specifically looking for someone with experience and interest in the contract administration aspect of construction management.
You’ll utilize your expertise of construction contracts, change management, and experience with handling the construction claims process.
You’ll be working directly with the Construction Manager and other members of the CM team to additionally develop these skills and transfer knowledge across the broader team, so interest in mentoring is a must.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing technical construction contract administration expertise Leading Project change administration and preparation of associated formal documentation; maintaining internal tracking of construction changes Coordination of cost estimation tasks with the City’s Design Engineer Consultant Contractor redlines review and process oversight Coordination of closeout processes including substantial completion notices, spare parts turnover, contract closeout documentation Leading and documenting Change meetings with the Contractor Overseeing internal CM team office engineers assisting with the above At Jacobs, we’re partnering across the globe to create the best project outcomes by maximizing the design, digital technology, and support capabilities of our Global Integrated Delivery (GID) teammates.

Here’s What You’ll Need: Bachelor’s degree in in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline 12+ years of experience in Construction Management of infrastructure projects Demonstrated experience with construction contract administration and close out, change management and claim processing and management.
Ideally, you’ll also have: Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Certification Demonstrated knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems Experience with Water/Wastewater projects California PE Jacobs health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
