Lead Service Technician/ Service Manager

ABOUT US: Peninsula pump has been around since 1981.
We are industrious people.
We serve municipalities, small and large.
We work with contractors and developers.
We remove sewer water when nobody else will touch it and we’re damn good at it.
We may do some dirty work, but we are organized and do an impeccable job.
POSITION: We are looking for a Service Manager! You will be responsible for overseeing and executing the installation, inspection, service and replacement of water pumps and their related systems.
Additionally, the Service Manager writes estimates for work to be done.
The position is a combination of project management, personnel management and technician work.
The Service Manager reports to the business owner and oversees 1-2 technicians.
You will be expected to drive one of our service trucks to field locations, which could be indoors or outdoors.
Our clients are typically municipalities, commercial buildings, and multi-unit residential buildings.
Most of the systems we service are stormwater and wastewater; we also serve dewatering systems and well pumps.
The work is a combination of mechanical and electrical.
Field work sometimes involves working in very dirty environments and confined spaces.
Occasional weekend work and on-call availability required.
MUST HAVES: * Five years experience in relevant mechanical field; experience with pumps is ideal * Experience with any electromechanical systems is acceptable * Leadership/management experience * Strong communication skills- written and verbal * Strong organizational skills * Current California driver’s license, with clean DMV record * Must be fully vaccinated * Able to lift up to 60 LBS * Dependable and punctual This is a representation of the job description and does not include all details which may change with or without notice.
