The Solutions Engineer is integral to the Sales Strategy and GTM team, focused on optimizing Rakuten’s b2b customer relationships and go-to-market strategy for revenue impact.
Overseeing post- sale integration work, you will partner with internal and external partners to determine and execute the best methods to implement client programs on Rakuten to meet their goals.
The Solutions Engineer will own the implementation and operations of b2b products, partnering closely with teams across product, engineering, business insights and sales to identify future business needs and revenue-building opportunities.
We are looking for a dynamic partner to aid in building long-term customer value through performant product experiences that drive business outcomes for both our clients and Rakuten.
Experience and a strong desire to engage with clients throughout the relationship is paramount to success in this role.
Must be able to balance long-term strategy with short-term results, focused on execution in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Manager, Solutions Engineering, you’ll work closely with a cross-functional team.
Key responsibilities include: Own the implementation and operations of b2b products and customer programs, managing the solution lifecycle, from the initial analysis and design to the implementation and testing.
Provides post-sales technical expertise during product installation, implementation, and maintenance.
Ensures products/solutions are functioning to specification to meet client needs, providing follow-up support to the sales team and customer by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
Enrich the sales process with technical strategies to win complex opportunities, serving as a technical subject matter expert for sales.
Develop technical sales strategies and work with teams to develop effective demonstrations of solutions.
Perform detailed analyses and write ups in partnership with our data/analytics, digital strategy, engineering, product, and revenue teams.
Facilitate the timely sharing of information and communication between all team functions.
Experience + Qualifications Required 4+ years of experience Extensive knowledge working with operating systems and data analysis/architecture.
Experienced in implementing detailed customer installation requirements.
Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques, advertising/media models and processes Identifying, testing, and managing risk: Adept at identifying and evaluating risks for client programs and products.
Strong track record of implementing solutions with demonstrated outcomes.
Knowledge of software development process and technical skills: Deep understanding of the technical aspects of projects to identify risks, propose immediate solutions and provide guidance for system/product solutions.
Communication skills: Demonstrable skill and comfortability communicating with stakeholders such as engineers, management, clients, and vendors.
A strong translator in conveying technical language in non-technical terms.
Project management skills: True player-coach.
Able to motivate teams to action and toggle between managing and doing to ensure seamless delivery on time and on budget.
