We are seeking a Senior Construction Manager to be based out of our San Mateo office with a work area covering the East Bay, Peninsula, and South Bay.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an established Senior Construction Manager candidate, with a minimum of 15 years of experience, with advanced skills and supervisory experience.
This position requires the ability to be onsite at projects as needed, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule, allowing time to be divided between the field, office, and home.
The ideal candidate for this opportunity can work independently, has experience managing others, has sound construction management skills, is team oriented, personable, and possesses a strong desire to make a positive contribution to the business.
This position requires a well-organized and versatile individual who is experienced in construction and project management.
Responsibilities:
Work under the general supervision of senior management, and will manage projects and serve as a liaison between owner's, contractors, engineers, and architects
Manage and conduct regularly scheduled meetings, providing organized and articulate minutes and/or follow up
Supervising Construction Managers and/or Project Engineers, serving as a mentor to these and other individuals
Ensure projects are running smoothly and are on schedule, identifying problems areas and working with the team to provide solutions
Provide constructability review by reading drawings, identifying issues, working with responsible team for resolution
Pursue new clients, develop scope and fee for proposals, and win new work
Coordinate testing and inspections
Review and prepare cost estimates, including initiating change orders as needed
Prepare thorough and organized status reports
Review schedules, pay requests, RFIs and submittals
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
BS Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
Minimum 15 years of experience in construction management working as Owner's Representative, Contractor, Engineering or Architectural firm
Onsite experience managing and negotiating with contractors, engineers, and architects
Strong organizational, prioritization, and detail-oriented skills
Solid experience with the MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Experience with scheduling software (i.
e.
, MS Project and/or Primavera) strongly preferred
Experience with Large scale projects ($15M - $60M)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills including an ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with clients
Experience working with government agencies
Experience with design/build and/or lease/lease back a plus
CCM, LEED, PMP, DBIA Certification and/or PE or Architectural License a plus

The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $190,000, depending upon experience.
