For sale is a 1966 Chevelle Malibu Sport coupe that is a factory L79 COPO built 66 Chevelle.
The car is a street and drag strip racer from the late 1960's and was raced at the Fremont drag strip and at Half Moon Bay drag strip.
The Chevelle has a balanced and blueprinted 327 V/8 engine, a factory 4 speed transmission and a factory 12 bolt rear axle.
the interior has factory floor mounted front bucket seats, no power steering, 4 wheel drum brakes, and no other accessories other then the original AM radio and a heater, and yes, it has the 3/8" dia.
original fuel line on the frame from the factory.
Rumor has it that all USA built L79 cars were only built in Norwood, Ohio, and my 1966 Chevelle was built in Norwood, Ohio too.
I have every factory installed L79 option on the car, and it is a 100% L79 CE driveline, call me at show contact info for the details.
UPDATE: The Chevelle has a NRHA approved Mcleod racing scatter shield, and a NHRA approved driveshaft loop, and a dual chamber master cylinder, all upgrades to make it NHRA legal to drag race in the late 1960's in the bay area.
The 12 bolt rear axle is a 4:11 posi, and it has period correct old school ladder bars and rear air shocks.
