Summer School Special Education Teacher

*Every Special Child* Is seeking dedicated and qualified *Special Education Teachers *for *Summer School *and *Next School Year *to join our team in *Redwood City, CA.
*We have requirements for both *Resource Specialist (RSP)* as well as *Special Day Class (SDC) Teachers*.
Both Mild/Moderate as well as Mod/Severe positions are available *Age Group:* Elementary, Middle School and High School *Job Responsibilities:* * You will be responsible for teaching groups of students.
* Meet each student’s learning requirements and build individual lesson plans to their specific needs.
* You will also discuss with parents and support staff to meet students’ progress.
* Adapt learning materials to students’ needs, ability to create IEPs * Keep track of and reflect on students’ progress * Monitor children’s behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed * Prepare students for the transition to the next grade * Coach/mentor other professionals who work with children with disabilities * Collaborate with the support staff * All other duties related to the program.
*Requirements:* * Valid California Mild/Moderate or Mod/Severe Education Specialist License * 1+ years of working experience as a Special Education Teacher * Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s Degree with an emphasis in special education preferred.
