Position Overview:
Provides administrative and clinical leadership to a team of multi-disciplinary leaders managing the delivery of patient care.
Plans, monitors, integrates, coordinates, and evaluates the operations within their scope of responsibilities.
Participates in system-sponsored clinical and other relevant initiatives, establishing goals and standards to support patient care initiatives and to ensure the delivery of high-value quality care and achievement of common objectives.
Develops and fosters a solid partnership with physicians, medical staff and Sutter Health leaders, and employees to facilitate and collaborate on initiatives, to resolve operational challenges and/or to improve processes.
Works with senior leadership to develop and establish short- and long-term strategic plans that complement system, operating unit or affiliate goals and initiatives, including business, operations, and/or organizational priorities.
Sets priorities to align with business objectives and annual plan.
Establishes the direction of policies and procedures, and sets a structure for providing safe, consistent and effective patient care.
Establishes overall operating and capital budget with input from management team, ensuring financial targets are achieved and variances are addressed timely.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Health Care, Business Administration or related field or equivalent education/experience
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
15 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Current knowledge of group practice management in a clinical setting, medical clinic philosophy, policies and operating procedures.
Working knowledge of ambulatory departments with special knowledge in finance, planning, marketing, physician relations, personnel/human resources management and patient care.
Knowledge in the area of responsibility, i.
e.
experience with surgical services if responsible for this service line.
Ability to communicate clearly to all levels of the organization; recognizing the diverse needs of patients, physicians, staff and the multiple Sutter affiliates.
Knowledge and interpersonal skills necessary to tactfully direct the efforts of diverse health professionals to meet patient and physician needs.
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others including management, senior management, and governing bodies, physician partnerships, and other owners.
Extensive knowledge of financial reporting, analysis and reimbursement.
Considerable knowledge of regulatory, licensing, certification and accreditation requirements
Ability to act upon difficult decisions to drive desired changes, as well a capability to lead, guide and promote a sense of shared purpose within the team.
Documentation and communication skills required.
Working knowledge of the principles of Lean Six Sigma.

57 to $122.
51 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
