Job Title: Development Associate Working Title: External Relations Associate VPUE Unit: Vice Provost’s Office (VPO) Location: Stanford Main Campus; Hybrid option available (at least 2 days/week onsite) Job Code: 4290 Job Grade: G FTE: 100% Exemption Status: Exempt The Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE) is seeking an External Relations Associate to work with the Director for External Relations and, in collaboration with other VPUE staff and campus partners, assist with all portions of the planning and implementation of donor/alumni cultivation, fundraising, and stewardship activities, while also providing administrative support.
Under general supervision, provide administrative support to VPUE-related fundraising programs and activities.
Work with front-line fundraising staff, donors, volunteers, and other university staff to assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with all university constituencies.
In this role, you will: Provide project and administrative support Retrieve information about prospects and donors, manage data input, update records, and generate high-level reports using the university external relations database Track budget(s) and process relevant reimbursements Assist Director of External Relations, as well as other fundraising, stewardship, and event planning staff in the planning and execution of donor cultivation and stewardship, alumni, and special events, as needed Provide development program reporting and high-level analysis to support fundraising efforts Build a network of relevant contacts and stay informed on current VPUE and university initiatives and activities Review and track funds and report on use of gifts, as assigned Frequently perform desk-based computer tasks, sit, stand/walk, and use a telephone.
Occasional light/fine grasping, writing by hand, as well as lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling objects that weigh up to 10 pounds May require working flexible hours, including nights and weekends *-The job duties listed are typical examples of work performed by positions in this job classification and are not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, tasks, and responsibilities.

To be successful in this role, you will bring: Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience Advanced ability with Microsoft Office and Google suites Demonstrated experience and proficiency with relational database systems, like Salesforce Ability to work efficiently, juggle tasks simultaneously, consistently meet deadlines, and achieve individual and team goals Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to interact professionally with a wide range of people Exceptional attention to detail and follow through *-Consistent with its obligations under the law, the University will provide reasonable accommodation to any employee with a disability who requires accommodation to perform the essential functions of his or her job.

The expected pay range for this position is $82,000 to $97,000 per annum.
