*After School Ballet Instructor (K-5th Grade)*
We are seeking an enthusiastic After School Ballet Instructor to join our enrichment program, catering to students from Kinder to 5th grade.
This position involves leading a *one-hour*, non-competitive ballet class _once a week_, focused on introducing young students to the joy and fundamentals of ballet through fun and engaging activities.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Design and implement a ballet curriculum that is engaging, age-appropriate, and fun, with an emphasis on basic ballet techniques, posture, and simple routines.
* Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and express themselves through dance.
* Utilize games, storytelling, and music to enhance the learning experience and keep students engaged.
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff, including providing updates on class progress and upcoming activities.
* Monitor students' progress and adjust teaching methods to meet the needs and interests of the class.
* Ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to any applicable school policies and guidelines.
*Qualifications:*
* Experience in ballet instruction, with a strong understanding of ballet techniques and terminology.
Formal training in ballet or dance education is preferred.
* Previous experience working with children, especially in an educational or recreational setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young students.
* Creativity in lesson planning and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit a variety of learning styles.
* A positive, patient, and encouraging approach to teaching.
* Must pass a background check and have a valid working permit if applicable.
