After School Pickleball Coach

*Job description* We provide after-school pickleball and tennis classes for grades K–3 all around the San Francisco Bay Area in elementary schools.
We are currently searching for coaches and assistant coaches to work two or more days per week (between the hours of 1 p.
m.
and 5 p.
m.
) from Monday to Friday during the school year.
The previous teaching or playing experience is not required but preferred.
USPTA/PTR certification is preferred but not required.
COVID vaccination proof is a must.
Compensation is at a flat rate (depending on experience) for after-school programs, group classes, and camps.
Private lessons are awarded on a percentage basis.
This is a part-time position with a *maximum of 2–8 hours per week.
* *After-School* *Tennis Coach Responsibilities:* * Manage a class of 8–16 students (ages 5-10).
* Teach the pickleball/tennis class using provided lesson plans.
* Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to learn more about the program.
* Transport tennis equipment to and from class.
Set up the tennis equipment.
* Take attendance, sign in, and sign out students for class.
* Interact with parents and with school office staff when needed.
* Provide feedback for each student by the end of the session.
* Click a few pictures of each session of kids in action.
*Requirements:* * Must be 19+ years old upon application submission.
* Must enjoy working with kids and professionally managing a class.
* Must be flexible, reliable, punctual, professional, and have an enthusiastic approach.
* Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Must carry a resilient, positive attitude.
* Must be able to work independently and within a small team.
* Must have its own reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
* Willing to do a live scan background check and the TB test before working.
*Locations:* We provide after-school programs in multiple public and private elementary schools located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
We make every effort to only assign schools that are within what you determine to be a reasonable commuting distance.
Currently, programs are located in San Jose, Saratoga, Palo Alto, Portola Valley, Los Altos, Fremont, and Menlo Park.
Candidates must be readily available and live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
*Schedule:* * Classes are 1 - 1.
