In this hands-on role, you will take charge of overseeing multiple dining service departments in various facilities within a specific geographic area, ensuring their efficient operation and cost-effectiveness while striving to achieve financial goals and targets.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of foodservice management, backed by a track record of successful outcomes.
* Take full ownership of the operation, ensuring it consistently meets service timelines and other benchmarks set by management and clients.
* Manage all financial aspects, including strategic planning, budget development and analysis, and financial reporting.
* Maintain a proactive and positive approach, interacting professionally with a diverse group of associates, peers, managers, suppliers, clients, and customers.
* Exhibit initiative and sound judgment when assisting customers, clients, peers, and subordinates.
* Lead management meetings to facilitate communication and align objectives.
* Think swiftly and accurately, evaluating problems and offering appropriate recommendations.
* Conduct thorough audits of units to ensure compliance with company, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes related to food storage, preparation, sanitation, and record-keeping.
* Recruit, train, and onboard new management associates to foster their growth within the organization.
*Preferred Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Associate's degree plus five to seven years of directly related experience preferred.
* Minimum of five years of operational foodservice management experience in workplace and/or retail settings preferred; flexibility may be considered based on formal degree or training.
* Strong knowledge of food and catering trends, with an emphasis on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation.
* Experience with profit and loss (P&L) accountability and contract-managed services is desirable.
* Preferred multi-unit management experience.
* Exceptional supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively at various levels, including management, customers, and associates.
* Familiarity with financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational practices.
* Proficient computer skills, including various computer programs, Microsoft Office applications, email, and internet usage.
