Medical Center Development (MCD), in partnership with the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health, supports Stanford Medicine.
MCD’s passionate and experienced fundraising professionals and partner teams work closely to create a donor-centric approach to development.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Administrative Services on the Cancer Major Gifts team at MCD, the Development Coordinator supports the efforts of fundraisers on the team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with frontline fundraising staff, development officers, internal partner teams, donors, volunteers, and other university staff to assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with all university constituencies.
By exhibiting patience, flexibility, sharp attention to detail, a high level of professionalism, a strong sense of priorities, and a superb level of tact and discretion, you will aid gift officers in their fundraising work.
Your primary responsibilities include: Administrative Management – 40% Planning and scheduling complex calendars and resolving calendar conflicts with limited or no consultation.
Preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, booking conference rooms, providing or arranging for AV setup, and tracking on post-meeting follow up as needed.
Verifying and processing financial reimbursements for the team.
Portfolio/Donor Management – 40% Coordinating meetings with donors including scheduling, reservations or catering, parking arrangements, and day-of setup.
Gathering, reviewing, and updating information about prospects, donors, and gifts; requesting assignments, and generating reports using the university external relations databases.
Tracking, writing, and mailing out donor acknowledgement letters from faculty members.
Event Support – 10% Supporting gift officers in the planning, implementation, and coordination of events at various levels.
Could include reviewing/tracking lists of attendees, coordination of event planning meetings, taking notes, scheduling meetings with faculty members, catering arrangements, restaurant reservations, and on-site support such as equipment set up and table arrangements.
Special Projects – 10% Coordinating travel for faculty and gift officers as needed for donor visits and/or conference attendance.
Other duties and projects as assigned.

A demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook, Word and Excel or the ability to quickly learn the suite through courses and online videos.
Knowledge of database systems, for example Microsoft Access, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or the ability to quickly grasp new computer databases.
Preferred: Valid California Non-commercial Class Driver’s License The expected pay range for this position is $34.
62 - $40.
38 per hour.
