Under direct supervision, assist with the execution of marketing programs that enable programs, services, events and/or products to meet business objectives.
This position reports to the Stanford Career Education Director of Marketing & Communications.
CORE DUTIES: Coordinate social media marketing efforts (including, but not limited to, Instagram and LinkedIn) in collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Communications and the Marketing & Communications Student Assistant Team.
Collaborate with Stanford Career Education Director of Marketing & Communications to develop and execute marketing and communications campaigns to ensure broad student awareness of and engagement with BEAM’s programs and services.
Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Communications in designing engaging visual materials and writing relevant and engaging copy for social media campaigns.
Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Communications and department teams to solicit content for marketing efforts, including newsletter and social media channels.
Creates and maintains an annual editorial calendar and ensures the Director of Marketing & Communications and student assistants are aware of next steps and milestones.
Collaborate with Stanford Career Education Director of Marketing & Communications to develop marketing presentations for Stanford Career Education staff and stakeholders.
Support Stanford Career Education Director of Marketing & Communications with marketing and communications projects as assigned.
Research, analyze, and report on outreach efforts such as marketing and communications efforts with the broad goals of educating staff and improving future efforts.
Support the Stanford Career Education Director of Marketing & Communications and staff in developing responsive and results-oriented communications.
Assess market opportunities and research market trends.
Drafts newsletter content, edits copy, imports content, and schedules newsletter in Mailchimp.
Tracks social media data to identify posts that are getting the highest engagement.
Reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications to inform marketing efforts.
Organizes Marketing Team Google drive to ensure all materials are uploaded and team is aware of where all content is located.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience in coordinating social media efforts and with Instagram is a must.
Demonstrated experience working on a marketing team with exposure to marketing trends and campaigns.
Experience with Canva, Asana, Excel, and Mailchimp platforms are highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Reliable self-starter with ability to work autonomously.
Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to collaborate in a creative environment.
Excellent design skills for use in developing flyers, social media posts, and other marketing materials.
Ability to write compelling written copy to engage student audience.
Ability to analyze data and measure impact of marketing efforts and refine approach as needed.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Superb team player with the demonstrated ability to collaborate with Stanford staff and students.
Certification and Licenses: N/A PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*: Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.
Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.
Rarely sort/file paperwork.
WORKING CONDITIONS: This is a hybrid position requiring three days of onsite work per week and more as needed to meet student and departmental needs.
Able to work on evenings and weekends, as needed.

The expected pay range for this position is $34.
13 per hr to $36 per hr.
